| GlassFile is available from
EINS, a European provider of scientific, technical and legal
information. GlassFile plays a great part in extending the
"materials" side of the databases pool of EINS.
Being a part of the "materials" pool allows you
to perform multiple databases cross queries (clustering strategy).
GlassFile contains more than 80,000 abstracts
ranging from 1971 until today. All the documents are abstracted
and then indexed according to a bilingual glass thesaurus
(French <> English) developed by IPGA (this thesaurus
is available on request). The databank is in French for the
time period 1971 to 1985; then the titles of the abstracts
are available in both French and English since 1985; from
1994 on, the abstracts are in English or in French.
GlassFile strong point is its very broad
coverage:
Editorial coverage: the
regularly scanned reviews are published in countries worlwide
which results in a better exhaustivity and a better representativeness
as well.
Geographical coverage: IPGA partners and
corresponding members originate from Western Europe, Eastern
Europe, United States, South America, Asia... Thus GlassFile
remains close to specific problems and is prone to provide
you with reliable and relevant information.
